Do you know what the graduate visa is about? 🎓
The Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) is an excellent choice for those looking for migratory paths in Australia as it allows you as an international student, to live and work full-time between 18 months and 4 years (yes, if you study in regional areas of Australia the benefits are greater). Oh and you can also bring your family 👨 👩 👧 👧 👨 ❤️ 👨 👩 👩 👧 👦, or your partner, if they have a stable relationship of a coexistence of at least 12 demonstrable months.
What courses qualify to apply for this visa? 📖
The courses that qualify for this visa are Bachelors, Master and PhDs or very specific programs of vocational courses (directly related to the Skilled Occupation List) of at least 2 years.
What are the changes in this visa due to COVID-19?
People who are outside Australia finishing or starting their online courses will not lose the ability to apply for the graduate visa and can do so up to 12 months after they have completed their studies, which is usually 6 months (and this is the condition for students who are in Australia).
The government is looking very well at starting studies remotely and online, which is why it has facilitated these changes, to help all those in the disjunction to start their studies or not.
